On the island there is an artist called Steve who draws local fish on the covers of old books.

I love the charm, simplicity and style of these fish drawings and how Steve writes the type of fish underneath.

The bright colours of the book covers are so eye-catching and are the perfect medium to compliment Steve’s style. The overall feel of the work sets a great relaxed atmosphere.

I have a number of these fish at home on the walls and leaning on shelves in our island house, I just adore their playfulness.

I decided to have Steve’s work framed in a unique way using reclaimed timber which has been made into frames that edge the drawings, so they are ready to hang.

The Trumpet Fish Drawing is 21cm in height and 26cm in width and is a one of a kind original.
