Every kitchen needs a classic jug and this need has inspired my Everyday Jug to be included in my ceramic collection.

I use my jug to hold water, fresh milk and fruit juice, however I actually love it the most when it’s holding a bunch of flowers. I'll move the jug and flowers around from the kitchen table, to my bedside table, to the coffee table. It’s such a versatile size and the shape is really artful, that it even looks wonderful with nothing in the jug and displayed on the kitchen bench or shelf.

The wonderful handmade jug has a traditional size handle and a hand pinched spout allowing for a generous flow of liquids. The Everyday Jug has been hand thrown and glazed in a speckled charcoal glaze and is also available in a glossy white.

This one of a kind piece is made in Australia by potter Sharon Alpren, who also makes our Stoneware Mugs, White Cereal Bowls, Black Cereal Bowls, Weekend Bowl and White Everyday Jugs. All of Sharon’s pieces can be collected together as they have a matching glaze to make a set of ceramics for the home.

I have collected Sharon's work for years and her objects make daily routine feel special. Sharon hand throws these pieces on the pottery wheel using high fired stoneware clay. They are glazed in matt charcoal black, with speckles.

Approximately 14cm high and 12cm diameter. Each piece is individually made, so size and markings may vary slightly.
