Gum Tree Symphony was captured while I was on assignment on Kangaroo Island.

I came across a clearing within the bush right before sun set. The clearing was filled with kangaroos eating juicy short grass and was ringed by big old gum trees, the whole scene felt really iconic.

As the light dulled with the setting sun, the colours of this one particular old gum tree really showed themselves. The branches looked like a tangle of beauty, brushstrokes of brown, silver and tan. And then within a minute or two the colours faded away and the sun set.

As I was photographing within the landscape the wind got up and the old gumtree leaves 'swooshed and wooshed 'creating such a beautiful sound, like a piece of music. I titled this piece 'Gum Tree Symphony', dedicated to the sound of wind and the leaves.

I work with a local professional art framer to finish your new photographic print in my signature style - unstained Tasmanian Oak with a traditional mat board*.

The frame is finished with a natural beeswax to give a beautiful matt appearance and to preserve the wood.

Lightweight museum grade acrylic is used to ensure that your framed artwork is installed easily and does not require a professional hanging service.

Once you have received your framed artwork, it is ready to hang.

*Please note: My Extra Large sized prints are printed edge to edge and are framed without a mat board.

DELIVERY

Please allow 28 days for delivery. Your artwork is printed to order and personally signed by Kara in her studio before being delivered to the art framer to be custom framed and finished. It is then shipped securely in a custom-made wooden travel box to ensure its safe delivery to your address.
