  1. Takes me back in time 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th May 2016

I often have a very visceral response to Kara's photographs, this one even more so. It takes me back in time to summers spent at my grandmother's ranch on the central coast of California. Playing in her beautiful blooming garden and apple orchards, helping with chores such as hanging freshly washed laundry out to dry, bare feet digging into the warm earth. I look at this photo and can almost smell the hydrangeas and gardenias, hear the running nearby creek, and smell the fog rolling off the sea up into the apple orchard. I have this print and I love it. Who knew laundry could be so lovely?! Kara did.
