I'm an Australian lifestyle photographer, stylist, adventurer, author and storyteller.
I’m passionate about Australia and how we all live within its vast surroundings. My visual story telling is inspired by the everyday people and landscapes I encounter on my travels and adventures.
Back home, I live my life in a humble weatherboard cottage, thriving on the casual lifestyle it offers and the joy it brings, shared by my small flock of loved pekin bantams and my husband Timothy O in Brisbane, Queensland.
I work in both the freelance editorial and advertising capacities, with a unique blend of photography and styling – as a photographer & stylist.
A brief history
From finding much success within the photography industry in 2003 off the back of being the youngest person to win the much acclaimed ‘Canon Australian Institute of Professional Photography ‘AIPP Photographer of the Year’ title, I went on to photograph for some of Australia’s most loved magazine titles and advertising campaigns.
Along side this my personal photographic work has been included in many prestigious exhibitions and acquired in permanent collections both locally and abroad, most notably a solo exhibition at the Sydney Opera House.
Relocating from Sydney to London in 2007, I filled my love for interiors through prop styling, sourcing and buying throughout Europe. Returning to my home country in 2010 I started the second chapter of my career, creating the much loved ‘Travelling Wares’ caravan pop up – housed in a 1956 caravan called Frankie, touring the nation selling my found utilitarian vintage pieces for the home.
I was recently named by UK interiors ‘bible’ Elle Decoration as ‘A Modern Day Martha Stewart’.
My first hardback photographic book was published in October, 2015. Shelter – How Australians Live was published by Lantern, an imprint of Penguin Random House and is available in bookstores and through my online shop.
